For the midterm, please use the template in Livetext for the EDTP 504 hallmark assessment. Here are some things to keep in mind...
- You will need to complete two lesson plans for the midterm.
- These lessons should show that you can use technology to support your instruction in the content area(s) that you teach.
- Please make sure to include Kentucky Core Content or Program of Studies standards in your plans (include the full statements, not just the numbers).
- Make sure that you give clear objectives and create assessments that measure whether your students meet those objectives. Be clear about how you will assess the skill or behavior. For example, don't just say teacher observation. State how you will know if they get it when you observe them.
- Try hard to use the emergent technologies we've been learning about in class rather than Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. The midterm assessment will help me judge what you've been learning and we haven't studied those technologies during this class.
- Students sometimes find the whole matrix thing a little confusing to look at. Just remember that each lesson can only fit in ONE box. Even if you can justify several boxes where you could put it, select the one where it fits best. At this point, there is no need to worry about the position of the two boxes you choose on the matrix. However, for the final, you will receive points for scattering your plans across the matrix.
- Remember that you can revise these two plans and use them again for the final project.
